Happy Birthday Dad!

Wouldn't life be miserable and sad 

without the people we love to call dad?

In times of trouble they're the ones we need,

please help me if you can, we tend to plead.

Sort out the shower, the taps are dripping,

come on now,  no time for kipping!

There's an office where the desks need sorting, 

you've got jobs to do, so no more jaunting!

 If we need help in any task, 

we know who to simply ask.

You're always there ready and willing,

we don't need to ask for half a shilling.

I need your help desperately,

my pen and paper just lay in front of me.

 Please come to our aid,

but don't hold your breath about being paid. 

That's a dads job, to always be there

 and at times like this, we need to share,

 the knowledge that you're loved by the both of us.

 You deserve some birthday fuss, 

just one more thing to say....
