How to get images in the message body in the forum.

basically you you need to use the following html code to make the images apear:

[IMG src="http://www.insertadresshere.com/imagename.gif"]

You need to point the code to the web adress of the image. To find the image adress, right click the image and click properties.

If you are trying to point to a chart that is posted on the forum, then you need to right click the actual link to the attachment, and click properties. Its a good idea to post your chart in the test forum, then get the adress of the attachment to point to.

If you are trying to point to a chart that is posted on the forum, then you need to right click the actual link to the attachment, and click properties.

Then your code should look something like: [IMG src="http://members.mdsnews.com/forumattachments/19505.gif"]

remember to use the square shaped brackets [], not the pointed ones<>.

When you point to an image on the net, remember that if that website removes the image, then your code wont work, keep this in mind when sourcing images from websites. Also, when posting charts, try to keep the images reasonably small so they will fit on peoples screens without them having to scroll. It's easy enough to do - before you save your chart, simply grab and drag the bottom right corner of the chart to adjust its size. do this BEFORE saving and it will save the size of the chart.

Please use this trick sensibly, otherwise MDS will modify the posting rules to prevent us from doing so.
